Welcome to MetaCarta Labs
Thursday, September 28th, 2006Three months ago, at the Where 2.0 Conference in San Jose, CA, MetaCarta Labs was announced.
We release new prototypes to the public on MetaCarta Labs. APIs like the GeoParser, toolkits like OpenLayers, and demonstrations like Gutenkarte all fall under the umbrella of MetaCarta Labs, and there’s more still to come. Labs is our technology playground: a way to demonstrate the things we’re working on before they’re ready for prime time. We want to hear about everything you’re doing with what we offer… and about everything that we’re not doing yet that we should be.
To that end, we’ve set up this blog to let you know what we’re working on next. If you feel like MetaCarta Labs should be doing something new, this is your chance to let us know. If one of the existing services is missing a killer feature, bring that up. Anything you might want to say to those who write the tools in MetaCarta Labs can come to us through comments here, or email to labs at metacarta.com.
We look forward to hearing from you — and letting you know what we’ve got next up our sleeves.
